Fitness Homework

The Ideas of our fitness home program are inspired by our work at the University of North Carolina.  In the words of Dr. David Cox of Simon Fraser Univsersity “In my work as a sport psychologist it has been my experience that most successful athletes keep a written account of their daily life.  A journal is an effective way to analyze your training, help you plan your development and maintain accountability as an athlete.  The Athlete Training program will help you to identify and track your short and long term training goals.”

    Q6.1-2 because there is already a player putting pressure on the ball but there isn’t any cover.

    Q6.2-3 because then the player with the ball can cross and there will be no one on me, so i can score.

    Q6.3-3 because the player can check and get the ball and i can make a run and get the ball agian,and have a clear shot to the net.

    6.1 – Because we are in the defending third and the other team is just outside the 18 yard box, our team is very tight and compact. It looks as though the ball has been in our end for a while because it is 5 vs. 5, if is was a counter-attack, the other team would probably have more people.
    In this case it looks like we are trying to move the defensive midfielder, because there is already 3 defenders behind them (left-back, right-back and center-back). So if I were that defensive midfielder i would choose to cover the other defensive midfielder (the one who is pressuring the ball.) So I would choose 2.

    6.5 In this situation, it looks like we are approaching the attacking third. It looks like the other team plays with 3 in the back, and then a sweeper behind them. The player with the ball is probably the attacking midfielder and they just recieved the ball and they’re looking around to see where to pass. In this position i would play it to the left striker for them to run on to it (into space.) So i would choose pass #2.
    I would put it into space because then they would beat the defender that is beside them. Then after the striker recieves the ball they could look for the player who is running down the right wing. If the striker plays that player into space, that player could take a touch toward the goal and maybe they could have already beaten the sweeper.
